Do we need so called father's Day Or mother's Day to pay respect, in my opinion the whole year should be a father's Day Or a mother's Day Or a friend's day whatever

No we dont need, ofcourse not. We dont even celebrate it here in my country. But if someone wants to do it, why not. Its personal choice, just like many things in life.

Yea it's all personal choices, but what really matters is the commercializing part and avoiding them other days

I agree. Same goes for Valentine's Day. We should thank our parents all throughout the year and not just on this day. And we should profess our love for our significant other all throughout the year as well. These holidays are commercialized. A way for businesses to make more money.

@FaruMesh On these holidays I see a lot of people post on Facebook thanking their loved ones, telling them how much they love them, but then throughout the year not so much.

@lovebuglena agree what's the use when we don't pay any attention when the time they need most and after their demise saying ohh you don't know how much I loved them

If everyday was so then wouldn’t parents be getting gifts every day. There children constantly being well behaved for them. Their kids 24/7 being the way there parents or parent wants them to be. Oh hell no! I’ll take my one special day outside of my own birthday. At least one those two days I know my kids wouldn’t be buggy the hell out me.

@FaruMesh when I mean gifts and sharing it doesn’t mean bought it has to be bought. I’m happen to just sleep in, not have to cooke all day 3 meals. Be called on like a maid because hey when your parent your everything you don’t get days off or time off. So if it takes a darn holiday to get kids to be like hey they do need a day to just be themselves or not have to do things for me. Most adults don’t realize that till they have kids of there own. Do I need a card no, do I need a fancy gift. I don’t even need they on my birthday. But you know what the kids will do come in all cute and be like happy birthday or happy Mother’s Day to make me smile. They might even make something for me. They don’t do that every day.

It's not about giving gifts and sharing happiness around it's all about commercializing these days

I don't think we necessarily need special days. But at the same time life is busy, and sometimes we can get caught up in just everyday life and not focus in as much on the people we care about and admire. And so if we set aside a particular day to remind us and to focus in on it, I don't see anything wrong with it.

@FaruMesh Very true. And even though not intentional, sometimes we do tend to forget on other days.

Actually it's nothing wrong in it, but the fact is we can't ignore them other days in our busy schedule
