We went for a walk before lunch. There were several things to buy and I even bought a black sweater. They did not have that color the last time I asked and it goes with everything. We went past the neighborhood´s butcher and I bought a tongue (no cholesterol) and some blood sausage (a lot of cholesterol but delicious). He will call me when he has some pork pieces I love. Lunch was done so it ony meant heating some things. Dixie had cooked the artichokes she bought yesterday so everything was ready. In a while we will see my pictures now.

Tongue is something I really like, not blood sausage. I have artichokes in the freezer, I have to decide how to prepare them.

I like cooked aerichokes with mayo. I used to prepare a delicious artichoke quiche but it is too much work.

@marguicha We always serve artichokes warm, I usually make them with olive oil garlic and parsley. I love deep fried artichokes, but I know it's not a healthy recipe.

What is a tongue? Is a tongue of a pig? If it is, we call it here lingua.

@marguicha That's right. It's cholesterol free. We call it here lingua. It's crispy and delicious.

Imagine something like a bratwurst but filled with a mixture of calf blood, fried diced onion and spices.
