Does Anyone on Here Do Any Work for Fiverr?

I am looking for some new online writing sites I haven't tried yet.
I am considering looking into Fiverr but I am not sure I want to invest time into something where I can only make $5.00 at a time. And I also heard you really only earn $4.00 because Fiverr takes $1.00 out of every job.???
So does anyone on here do any work for Fiverr and if so, what do you do, and is it worth doing jobs there?

@LadyDuck That's definitely not enough. You used to be able to post what you can do so I would think you can choose how many words you want to write for the $4.00 payment. But then of course if the word count is too low, no one will want to hire me!

@kareng Yeah, I know what you mean. I have been on some sites that I missed when they closed down. Can't look back I guess. We just need to keep moving forward.

It has been years since I did anything at Fiverr, in fact it was a new site and I tried it out. I didn't find the pay worth it all, especially for writing articles. $4.00 for a 1,000 word article is worth way more than $4.00!! I don't mind playing around with product descriptions as that doesn't take long at all.

@kareng Wow, when you put it like that, $4.00 for 1,000 words is definitely not worth it. Can you say you will do shorter articles, like a 500-word article? So they do take $1.00 off the top of every job? How long do product descriptions have to be?

@Kouponkaren I believe jobs are posted and you accept whatever jobs you want to do. I am not sure if they take the $1 out still or not.
Length all depends on what the client wants. They usually specify. It could be anywhere from 30 to 100 words.

@kareng Okay thanks. I thought it was a site where you tell other people what you will do for $5.00 and then they decide if they want to hire you. I must be confusing it with something else.

That's a great idea to start blogs on life. I don't write blogs as having a full time offline job, I don't get enough time to devote blogs. But I have seen people doing well through their blogs.

@sjvg1976 Yes, I am in the middle of researching new sites to write for online. I like to "look before I leap" especially when leaping into new sites to write for online.

I use to work on Fiverr and get short article writing jobs for BMR or Build My Rank articles since there is no BMR now I stop getting jobs there. Yes you will be paid just $4 for every job but for me it's just okay

@CarolDM I have heard good and bad, but mostly reviews from people I don't actually know. Just people I have read reviews of on the internet. Not sure how trustworthy they are actually.
