Have you tried Chicken Sarciado?

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters
I woke up in a very nice weather. Sunny and cool air. I had a great morning walk and a chat with my mom. We don`t do dancing exercise together on weekends because I wake up very late on weekends and mom wanted a very early exercise 
Today, I wanted to prepare a very simple dish that I learned from mom. This is Chicken Sarciado it is a dish that is really cooked with lots of fresh tomatoes until it is like a sauce. Of course you add some onions, green peas (optional) and sprinkle some salt and pepper to taste but some they put some soy sauce. As for me I like it with salt and pepper 
As always you must marinate your Chicken for 30 minutes with salt and pepper before frying it and adding up the sauce.

Similar to " afritada ", the only thing is sweet bell peppers , carrots and potatoes are added besides green peas and tomato sauce instead of fresh tomatoes. Sarciado in our household is done more on large fish or " sarsiadong isda"

Oh yes. It is similar with the fish. I just make it with chicken because can`t find fish today Thank you

I'm not a fan of chicken but it sounds good, of course I never tasted it.
Except for the soy sauce, it's a dish that can pass for Italian. Lots of onions and tomatoes. 
I had pasta with bacon and tomato sauce for lunch, I don't know what I'm going to have for dinner.
All I know is that I'm hungry.

It is like Chicken with tomato sauce but this one is cooked from fresh tomatoes

Here in our country it is usually fish sarciado. Haven't tried chicken before.

Makes sense that you want to sleep in on weekends while she does not so you do not do the dancing together. I had to look it up to see what ingredients are in it. Most I liked and could try. Have you ever made it in a crockpot? I may try adding some things to it in the crockpot the next time I make chicken. I have never had it and certain ingredients so sound good to me. I finished my chicken yesterday and have more in the freezer that is already cooked and ready for next Sabbath. I finished for this Sabbath yesterday. It was really good.

I never tried it in crockpot but in slow cooker. I think it will still be good in crockpot. Thank you
