Peanut Butter & Jam Sandwich

Having a peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich for dinner. Another favorite when I don't want a big meal. Picked up a loaf of multi-grain bread yesterday. Makes really good sandwiches. And Jif is the only peanut butter I every buy. Just taste the best to me. I like grape jam sometimes, but strawberry jam is what I used today. I prefer the thickness of jam to plain jelly. That sounds so yummy. I started buying grape jam years ago when Nathan was here instead of jelly because it spread better. That boy to be a premie could eat the most PBJs! At the age of three or four, he'd eat three sandwiches! With the crusts cut off, though. We'd order a fish fillet, fries, and a sweet tea at McDonalds and they'd be so shocked that this little boy who couldn't even see over the counter was ordering all that. And he'd eat every bite!

@1creekgirl I have always preferred jam for that reason. Wow that is aloof to eat so young. But healthy.

I had some peanut butter toast with honey this morning for breakfast. Not a huge fan of jelly/jam. I picked up a pizza for lunch for us after I got my hair cut and bought some groceries.

I had a PB and dill pickle sandwich the other day on homemade bread and it was delicious. I thought the combination was just wrong. Until I had one. It may not be my favorite but it's pretty high on the list. I like red raspberry preserves with peanut butter too.

Anything is good on homemade bread. This was really good too. I have known many to use pickles. Blueberry preserves are good too.

Guess what I just ate a few minutes ago? A peanut butter and strawberry jam sandwich! lol I wasn't hungry when I got home from work, but didn't want to go the entire night without eating anything. The flooding is bad here from Tropical Storm Elsa, so I didn't want to venture out. I don't really have a preference to brand (I usually get what's on sale), but my current peanut butter is Jif, so that should make you happy! lol

No way. We were on the same page. Hard to beat a PB&J. I have always liked Jif.... "Choosy Moms choose Jif" as the commercial used to say.

My favorite would have to be BLT! I enjoy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches also. Can't beat that with a glass of milk!!

I bought strawberry jam to eat with bread. No peanut butter so we'll just settle with that. I think I want to make egg toast today and spread the jam on it.

I just made fresh strawberry jam yesterday - yum! Jif peanut butter made me laugh - here Jif used to be a bathroom cleaning product. Nowadays it has been renamed Cif, I wonder if that is why?

@CarolDM Cleaning the bath with peanut butter probably wouldn't work so well - although I have often seen it recommended for removing labels from jars and things like that!
