Okay, that’s a lie. Let me tell you something, professional miniature golf is as competitive as any sport out there. It’s funny, because I came here this weekend thinking my “competitive” days were over. I love these guys, having spent most of my summers with with them for the last 21 years, so it’s more the fun and the fellowship. Heck, I didn’t even practice all that much. And yet, somehow I won. My four-round total was 117, which is 27 under par for four rounds (par is 144). I just played consistently, never getting into a lot of trouble. I had one “stupid” bogey, where I didn’t think my second shot through. The other bogeys were being in places that just held more skill than I possess to save par from, so I tapped out, took my medicine and my bogey, and went on to the next hole. I guess that was my saving grace. I won by five strokes. The pro victor came in at a 107. To show you the difference in the two divisions: my amateur winning score was only good enough for last cash place in the pro division. It’s been ten years since I won my first state tournament. Since then, I’ve had some good runs (2014 was magical, netting me the state title and player of the year honors). I hadn’t won a state title since 2017, but it hardly mattered. That’s a bonus. Being with these wonderful guys, and playing with them, is the victory every time.

congrats on the win!!! In the words of the great Robert Montgomery Knight It is not about if you win or lose. Its about how much you win by!!!!

@FourWalls Coach, once informed people that a little old lady was across the court and didn't have a chair, so he threw her one!

I'm assuming you're writing in English but the only thing I understood was that you won. Congrats.

@FourWalls Well, I understand Math (to a point) but not Golf, so that explains it.

No, it’s in Math and Golf. Very foreign languages to most.

Well done you. And I quite believe and understand that now you're there at least as much for the camaraderie. But still - a win is always nice.

I thought my “winning” days were over, and I would be content to be in cash. A win IS in cash, so…. Thanks!

I win all the time, getting to play and hang out with these great guys. (I’m not being sexist, either: I am the only woman on our tour.)

In my childhood I used to see the tea estate managers play golf in huge playgrounds. Glad to know there is a miniature version. With some adjustments I believe we ordinary people can play it.
