All clear

Got the phone call. My carotid arteries are all clear. That is the good news.
BUT incidentally there is a nodule in my lungs this scan picked up. I have to go back in on Monday for another test, with contrast to look at it.
Same thing happened to my husband last year. He has been scanned for "a nodule in his lungs" at least twice. I think it is three times.
I can tell them what it is. They will not be able to tell, and they will want me back in six months to do it again.
In Dec. 2019 and January 2020 hubby was cutting sheet rock out of one of the walls. 90 year old sheet rock. We did not wear dust masks. We became ill in January with lots of coughing and congestion. About the time covid hit the US. Actually before it had been positively identified. They are pretty certain it was here.
I believe we had covid. We ran fevers and coughed forever and ever.
The antibodies from covid are not very long lived. By the time they were testing blood for covid (Red Cross, blood donors) it was almost a year later. I had no antibodies. We did not get sick enough, either one of us, to go to the doctor when we were ill. We did not get pneumonia.
So next Monday I do the dye in my veins again, and get scanned, again. It is likely to be nothing. Story of my life.

Oh I see Heather, I hope it wont be anything now to worry about.
I hope it was not any thing in the sheet rock too.

It's good that your carotids came out clear, but that doesn't help in finding out why your're having your problems, does it.

No, it does not. It could be the fibromyalgia, but no one considers that.

They will want to check it every six months, just like they do with hubby. It is nothing, I am pretty sure.

I am not sure why my carotid arteries are all clear. I eat a relatively good diet, and I do not smoke. I am guessing that is why. I used to exercise quite a bit.

Oh, I still think it is a pinched nerve or compressed disc in my neck that is causing this problem with my hands and dizzyness. Maybe the check on my lungs will show something else.

Glad you got a good report on your carotid arteries. Praying for your next set of tests on Monday.
