Not Getting Enough Pressure

Happy Thursday Everyone! it's a bright sunny day here today. No rain in the forecast (yay)
I'm feeling much better today after a good nights sleep last night.
When my son was here on Saturday he changed my shower head in my bathroom shower. The new one I got has a nice round head with a detachable handle. I was so excited about being able to use it but now I'm not sure if I really like it. When he installed it he said the water pressure wasn't very good but my daughter has the same shower head in her bathroom and she loves it.
So, I really didn't pay much attention to him. I should have because he's a plumber and knows what he's talking about. My daughter said I probably just needed to adjust the dial to the stream I liked.
Well after showering for the past few days I still can't get the water flow how I would like it. I think my expectations are higher than what this particular shower head can produce.
My son was right!! the pressure is low.
The old shower head worked way better and I could actually feel like it woke my up when I stepped under the water. This one seems to be more than a dribble but not anything to really make you enjoy a shower.
Guess I'm going to have to talk to my son and see what he suggests.
Too bad he threw out the old shower head.
Aside from that, things are pretty good here.
How's your day going?

Thats exactly the question I have to ask him. I think it's the shower head since I didn't have the problem until he changed it

You're smart to take yours especially if you like it. Really disappointed because this one looked so nice. I was anticipating a great shower but didn't get it

@just4him he said he can remove the water pressure valve and it would give a good shower. Guess it's one of those water saver heads and I didn't realize it when I got it.

@Marilynda1225 Thank you. I'm not giving them anything. I'm sorry you're disappointed with it.

I'm dealing with the low pressure for now. When my son comes back from vacation he's going to change it for me

They make shower heads designed for low pressure.
All shower heads have some type of flow restriction device installed, it may be possible to remove the device to increase the flow.

You are so right!! my son said the same thing so he's going to remove the flow restriction valve so I get more pressure.

Low pressure definitely is frustrating. Thankfully my pressure is good and it's the shower head causing the problem. Looks like I"m going to be switching it again soon

Uh Oh..I don't like showers with bad water pressure either. It has been a long time since I have taken a shower at my sister's house, but her water pressure was terrible..taking a shower there was like standing under a trickle...I wouldn't put up with that if it was my house. I guess they were used to it.

I'm so disappointed in this new shower head. My daughter gave it to me as a Mothers Day gift and I feel bad telling her I don't like it but I need to take a shower with a good amount of water pressure. It''s just perplexing why hers works so well and mine doesn't.

My son does come in handy
I talked to him and he said he could get me a new one or take the water regulator valve out of the one I just got and it would give me more pressure. The only downside to that is I'd be using more water when I shower and naturally that would raise my bill. Guess I'll try that first and see how much water it uses before paying for another new one.

Seems the new shower head is a water saver type so if he removes the valve the pressure will be back to normal and I'll be able to enjoy having good pressure again. In the meantime I'm dealing with it until he comes back from vacation and can fix it for me.

I hope you can change the shower head and have a great day. It was an OK day for me and it rained in the evening
