Purple and White Rose of Sharon Blooms

Was out, with a hat on (the mockingbird was following me), checking out the rose of sharon blooms today.
Funny how some years I see many purple blooms. Most of the three bushes are covered in white blooms.
Nature is so amazing. The bees don't seem to mind what color the blooms are. They are all over the bushes. So cool when they are in full bloom.
Snapped this photo to show you how many purple blooms I have this year. Some years I only see one or two. Always something new to enjoy in nature.

@CarolDM perhaps you should let the various birds in the back know that "Carols" all you can eat southern Japanese Beetle restaurant is now open. for a limited time only it is free for all!

Oh it is quite similar to here. We have had intermittent rains but now humidity is high and things are difficult.

I can almost hear the buzzing noise that comes from those bushes. I'm sure it's crowded.
Very nice blooms. Save the petals for potpourri.

A pretty name for some pretty blooms! Fun facts: Rose of Sharon is from the hibiscus family. Did you know- every part of the plant is edible! Contains loads of vitamin C. Use the flowers and enjoy yourself some nice hibiscus tea

These Rose of Sharon blooms are gorgeous, Carol! I use to think bees an butterflies were drawn by the bright colors, but I don't actually know WHAT they can see:) It's more than likely from the smell in the air!
