Brussels sprouts for dinner.

I thought that I would make some Brussels sprouts as a side for my meat.
But my neighbor told his gardener to cut the ivy between our houses
. So I added some cut up bacon and bread crumbs to the Brussels sprouts and decided that that was it. The skillet is soaking and I will eat the last of my breaded meat for lunch tomorrow.
Tomorrow my friends will come and I will have to clean up the rest of my house. I also want to make a non sugar dessert as he has diabetes.
Do you change your meals sometimes? Why?

At times I do change the meal plan. If someone stops by just before supper, I need to add something else to the menu. Also, some people can't eat certain things. So, the meal needs to be altered, for these individual needs.

Oh, no! I didn't realize you didn't have enough money for real food!
I don't care for
Brussels sprouts
. I think they taste bitter and aren't worth eating.

Maybe you cook them differently than my mom did. I didn't like them when I was a kid so won't eat them now.

There are some desserts you can make with milk and cornflour but you add Stevia instead of sugar.

Sometimes when I'm making fried eggs, if I break the yolk of more than one, I'll quick pour some milk in and make scrambled eggs instead.
Usually, I plan meals ahead of time. When I shop, I'm mindful of what each meal will be prepared over the next two weeks. I shop for everything on one trip to town.
What day we eat each meal isn't rigid but the meals themselves, are.
I rarely change mid-stream.
Gosh. I'm about as far north as you can get without being in Canada and I can still smell those Brussels from here lol.

I love Brussels sprouts. Never made it with bacon before. But I'd try that, though it would have to be turkey bacon or beef bacon as I don't eat pork.

I love Brussels sprouts when they are baked or browned in a pan. I no longer cook; and we have Meals on Wheels for our main meal Monday through Friday.

@marguicha For seniors that can't cook anymore, they deliver one hot or cold meal a day, Monday through Friday. It's not bad. We pay $2.50 a meal. If you can't afford it, the meals are free.
