Exercising inside the house while on quarantine

Today, I started my walking exercise inside the house. From my bedroom I went around the living room, then proceeded to the kitchen,to the veranda. I stayed for a while at the veranda and did some stretching and clapping. I've heard from a Chinese herbalist that clapping has health benefits. I also imitated the movements of a Tai Chi master, only the basic. This is on YouTube. I am still recovering so have to take things slowly. Counting my steps am sure I achieved more than 1000 steps today.

This is a good exercise. Our home is on three levels, I go up and down the stairs many time every day.

Walking outside to achieve 10,000 steps was my favorite exercise. But now that heightened community quarantine will be implemented again and I have a knee injury, doing housework and a few minutes of pedal with my stationary bike will do.

I do that too when it rains outside. We have a biggish hall - 35 feet in length and that provides enough space for walking.

That's great! Too many people live a sedentary lifestyle these days especially during lockdown and quarantine. Glad to know you're still trying to stay as active as you can. I hope you fully recover soon.

If you're wearing pants with a pocket, you can turn on an app that counts your steps on your phone. Then you wouldn't have to guess how many steps you take.

BFF bought a treadmill. She used to follow those 5K steps that can be done in your room. Guess she got bored with it.
