Yesterday and today

I was here early yesterday, then got ready and went to visit my sister. Hubby also did some of his errands. My sister needed to see her cardiologist, to get permission to take off the restraint that kept her arm down. She is pretty weak from her heart problem then getting the pacemaker then having to do very little. She also is having vision problems. I then took her to Wal Mart. She is, as I said, weak, and not seeing well. She also had not eaten all day, and not taken her morning medicine. I was exhausted from taking a little bit of care for her. Hubby made us hamburgers when we got home.I went to bed pretty early. Today I have a half day of work this morning. So I will not be here, I am leaving in less than a half hour. Hopefully after this meeting I will know if I am working next week at all. I know the week after I will work a full week. I am also waiting for a call from the dermatologist.

She, like all of us, is getting older and is struggling with what that does to the body.

It was busy. The most tiring thing was standing in line for over an hour to get my benefit package lined up.

@GardenGerty That in itself would be tiring.

So was your sister allowed to put away the restraint?

Yes, She mistakenly went to the wrong place for an appointment last week and had no way of getting to the right place, a half hour away. or it would have been removed last week. Meanwhile her regular doctor has decided she has another problem and is ordering more tests.

She was worried about getting to an appointment on time, and also making sure other details were taken care of and answering the phone and trying to help a friend. I cannot go without eating.

I think, too, you would be worried that your sister might fall or whatever so the tension really gets to you.

I am just not ready for another loss. The pacemaker has given her more energy and I think now that she can move her arm for balance and get up and around it will help.

I am sorry about your sister. It is hard to take care, even for a short time, of someone you care about. Hope today is a better day for you.
