How Did You Discover MyLot?

Did a friend tell you about it?
Did you find it looking for extra earnings online?
Did you find it by accident?
A pancaran cahaya prompted this discussion. It was Cahaya actually. I just added the other part.
I found MyLot by accident. Even after I found it, I had no idea what it was.
I was searching for a truck part online and I typed in "junk car lots" and several sites were returned.
I was scrolling and ran across MyLot. This was late 2005 or early 2006.
I had to join to post so I did.
My first post was a description of the part I was looking for and asked if anyone had ideas where to locate it.
*crickets
As I was waiting for the multitude of responses to come in, I scrolled the feed and quickly realized that I was in the wrong forum and my post was not really going to get the responses I was looking for.
I responded to several discussions and found the interactions fun.
I just kept posting here.
MyLot didn't pay in the very beginning and people were here for fun.
And fun it was.
I became addicted very quickly and spent the next several years posting daily. I took breaks. Sometimes Admins made me take breaks too lol.
I was away for over six years but came back.
It's like I've come full circle.
MyLot was my first discussion forum. I went to Twitter and FB and some others for several years but have come back to the one that is so much different than other SM sites.

Very interesting story of yours...So you found Mylot accidentally...
Well I was going through the replies answered for a question some user has asked for relating to money earning websites on Quora (hope you know this Q&Aforum).....and someone has answered Mylot as one of the money earning websites and that's how I found this...

@Vikingswest1 yes..its is Q&A forum about any topic that interests you....I like it because you get true and honest answers from the professionals , not like @myklj999 
.....there are few who just answer for fun....but yes overall an interesting site

I am familiar with her. She was right. This is a nice place. I did FB and the others for several years but never found a site like this one.

I read about it on a different writing site. At the time they did pay. While I was away for a few years is when they stopped paying and started again.

I was already gone by the time they stopped the earnings program.
I opened an account six years ago but hadn't used it until this June.

I got to know Mylot by chance,at the beginning,i try to improve my english,but i love interaction more than single reading or writing.So i searched for English forum online,then i discovered several forums and start post and comment.after a while,i only keep concerned with mylot,dismissed other forums.I can find interaction fun here and imporve my english,for these two sake,i have been in this site for a few years.

Several others left when they quit the earnings program. It's likely why it was eventually brought back.
When I started, it was before earnings were ever paid.

@Vikingswest1 I know a lot do survey sites but I have my favorites and get people telling to change because there are others that pay hire which is true but the survey seems less often and longer to take. I like the short ones which I done mind waiting a little bit to get the money for it.

I think a lot of people found it that way.
I don't know if other sites paid more but I'm sure the fun and unique aspect of MyLot have them beat.

I was on some other social site and a nice lady by the screen name Darkwing invited me here. in 2005 or 6? She turned out to be one of my most treasured friends. RIP

I joined 6 years ago, it will be 6 years after tomorrow.
When the infamous B site closed, some friends from that site told me that they were moving to another writing site.
It was rebel_woman06 who contacted me to tell me that myLot restarted the site and the earning program and suggested at least to give a try. I have been here every day since the day I joined.

I have disabled all other Social Media.
I think of it this way.
MyLot is a show and share site where Twitter, FB and the rest, are bring and brag sites.
MyLot is real. Real people with real stories.

Well, you read my story - I was searching for a new alternative because the other site that I joined at the time shut down. I remember there were several people who came from that other website, although I'm not sure how many are still active on myLot now. I've been here on and off, hopefully this time around I'll stick around longer. I enjoy this site for many reasons, but mostly for the value of the interaction I've had so far with members of the myLot community - the kind of interaction that rarely happens on other platforms I've joined.

I did find that truck part but not here.
I sold that truck a few years ago and got more than I paid for it when I bought it.

I have heard of Quora but never visited.
MyLot can be a pretty great place. You won't earn huge amounts of money but it's enough for a treat once a month.
You get to have exchanges with people from all over.
