we walked for a long time before and after!
This is the waterfall, normally it is a lot more water, but when we were there it was only a mid-summer trickle!

Works for me. A trickle is still a good waterfall in my eyes.

A long walk is always rewarded by seeing a waterfall, at its end.
If the walk is hard enough, we might even trickle sweat, and create a waterfall to match the waterfall that we are seeing too.
In summer, this might easily happen, and adding to the trickle with our own trickle, might bring tears to our eyes, as well.
Three trickles then, to tickle our fancies with, to make a bad pun indeed.
