Thanks again to @LindaOH for suggesting a Bee Gees countdown. Hopefully, if you only think of them as the guys who did the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, this has expanded your vision of this marvelous trio of brothers. If you’re familiar with much of their career, hopefully it’s brought a lot of great memories. Here’s my favorite Bee Gees song. #1: Edge of the Universe A humorous flight of fancy about an alien and his pet dog. Baffling really. — Barry Gibb I don’t care if they’re singing about a garbage man and his pet dog! This is a fantastic song. I mentioned a couple of songs ago that I bought the “Nights on Broadway” 45 when it came out. This was the B-side. A couple of spins of this, and I forgot all about the “hit.” Robin and Barry just nailed it vocally on this song about intergalactic travel (a Martian and his dog ). It’s been 46 years, and this is still my favorite Bee Gees song. Ask me in another 46 years, and guess what the answer will be. Thanks for reading.
