Triskaidekaphobia is the fear of number 13. People suffering from Triskaidekaphobia are scared of number 13, as they start believing the superstitious beliefs around number 13 too much, such as 13 room number might be haunted, Friday the 13th is unlucky, basically 13th of anything is unlucky for them. Arnold Schoenberg, an Austrian composer had this phobia and ironically he died on Friday 13th at exactly 12:13 am and he was born in 13th of September. Do you believe in the superstitious beliefs around Friday the 13th? (Just to remind you today is 13th of August, Friday)

Tall buildings here don't have a 13th floor. They go from the 12th floor to the 14th floor. No room number 13, no table 13 in restaurants here, no hospital room 13,... etc.

@DaddyEvil I suppose, a truly superstitious person who knows how to count would still try to avoid the 14th floor of that building, or the room 14, or table 14...

@moirai I don't know. I've never given it any thought. But I'm also not superstitious, either.

I am the opposite, lol! I like the number 13. Because I think it was good to me, somehow. When I was young, in elementary and high school, I was class number 13 several times. And I believe, in my last year in high school, I was ranked #13 in the graduating class of around 90 students in my school. So yeah. I think the number 13 served me well.

I don't really bother about days and times. My father used to tell if we have good intentions, we have nothing to fear and I believe so In fact, I had my office room number 13 and had a good time for over four years.

I was surprised to know that in the US, many hotels and tall buildings don't have any room number 13 or 13th floor. They are so superstitious. And you can find a few posts here today on Friday 13th.

The building designers are either superstitious here or the people paying for the building are superstitious... Or, possibly, they don't want regular people to avoid the 13th floor here. *shrug*

@DaddyEvil I was surprised and shocked. Till I didn't stay in the US, I thought it was just something limited to Hollywood stories.

In Italy, 13 is considered a lucky number. I wonder if there are (many) Italians who have Triskaidekaphobia...

It's a choice to believe it or not. Whatever you are comfortable, then go for it. But, I don't believe it.
