August 14 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day.
I'm thankful for the walk I got this morning on the trail. The creek is high and overflowing the bank. In one place the water was on both sides of the trail. With getting all my fitness goals, I have almost 20K steps.
I'm thankful for getting the notifications finished and visiting with as many of you as I could to find out what's happening in your world.
I'm thankful for the work I accomplished on Vendetta. Four chapters today instead of five before the Packers game started. My neighbor across the hall invited me to watch the game. Vendetta is going well.
I'm thankful it's a pre-season game. We're not doing well. I also need to get to bed. I can only hope the Packers get their act together before the season starts.

I had a great day working on Branded Surveys getting close to reaching my goal of getting 2,000 points so I can enter my payment on Monday to the company to be paid on Wednesday afternoon to be paid by Pay Pal.

20K steps sounds pretty good. And that is a beautiful trail.
I am skipping my morning exercise session. I might do some dancing later with my daughters in the evening.
It's morning here and I hope to have a lazy Sunday today and unwind myself.

@cacay1 It would be much more than half kilometres. I walk/jog for 4_5 kilometres at a go. When i cycle, I have gone for 30_40 kilometres in one time.

@cacay1 Yes, it is actually practice. I am very regular with yoga and outdoor exercises and never miss them. I have a good endurance.

I had errands in town, phone calls, and had to go pick up groceries toward the end of the day. It was steady staying busy but a little time in between things to sit and watch a little television.

Did Aaron Rogers play for the Packers? I haven't really been following NFL news that much. Did he re-sign with the team?

@just4him Oh cool. I was wondering if Rogers was going to stay with Green Bay. I hate when players spend their entire career with one team, and then at the end of their career jump ship and go somewhere else. Like Brady did with the Patriots. I mean, I'm happy that my local team (Tampa Bay Bucs) won the Super Bowl, but I can never accept Brady as anything other than a Patriots player.

@moffittjc I agree. Brady and the Patriots are synonymous. So is Rodgers, with a d, linked to Green Bay. I know everyone felt like Brett Favre was a traitor by going to the Vikings at the end of his career.

We watched the Buffalo Bills play against the Detroit Lions and beat em. Yet both teams did an excellent job! They're just picking and choosing players, to eliminate those who don't measure up. Their top king pins never even played.

They don't in pre-season. It would be devastating if they suffered an injury before the season started. It also lets us see who the new players are and could be once they select the roster.
So, who beat who? I wasn't sure by what you said.

@kobesbuddy I'm glad it was wonderful to watch. I know someone here who is happy about that win. He's a definite Bills fan. I asked him today who he will root for when we play the Bills on the last pre-season game. He said, Val, I like you, but I will always root for the Bills. I need to let people know I prefer Valerie.

@just4him Detroit got beat, with 15 seconds to go. Buffalo Bills kicked a field goal, putting them one point ahead! Both teams played like pros, it was a wonderful match:)
