Busy life..friends for dinner.. Independence day.

Good morning Sunday from this side of the planet
It's 8:30 morning here and I am back to bed after few morning chores and watching some TV.
Yesterday a childhood friend of my husband came for dinner. He was in city for some business purpose for a week. He will leave for airport in some time. My husband invited other two common friends who stay few kilometres away from us. It was the first time we had a get together since the pandemic. Good that all were fully vaccinated and we had covid norms in place as much as possible. They left around 3 AM in the morning
. We slept around 3:30 AM and I still couldn't be in bed after 7. Habits do die hard. Everyone is sleeping and the house is quiet. After some time, I am back to bed and mylotting. I might catch some sleep if I feel like that.
It's our Independence day today. 
And tomorrow I have a holiday on account of that. . This week is a short one for working. We start on Tuesday and the weekend starts on Thursday. Friday would be off due to a festival called Varamahalaxmi puja that is very special festival for the state of Karnataka.
Last few days were quite busy in offline life and I was missing in action online. I hope to catch up
in cyberspace.
All plans for lazy Sunday. I have enough food left from last night to save me from cooking today. So, I will just relax, watch TV and maybe start a new art project if mood permits.

It's good to hear from you after a long here
We had a nice ceremony here too with flag hoisting. We watched it from our terrace. Most of us were encouraged to see it from our balconies and terraces to avoid overcrowding down there. We had a good view from our terrace. Sweet distribution is not happening since the last year due to the pandemic.

@DaddyEvil We had a small function of flag hoisting down in our apartment premise and few individual performances along with the March past of our security guards. We saw it from our terrace. Most were encouraged to watch it from balconies and terraces to avoid overcrowding down. We had a good view and enjoyed it. We had a nice special brunch from the leftovers of the previous night party at my place. Sweet distribution after flag hoisting has been suspended since the pandemic.

I'm glad you had a good evening with friends for dinner. Getting to bed at 3 AM is something I did when I worked the third shift. Those days are long gone. I hope you got some extra sleep.

They studied from nursery to class 12 together and were inseparable. Even now, he is a neighbour in our in law's place and is very nice and caring for our in laws while we are here. They share a very warm bond. Yes, the chit chat would never end. It was fun. We chatted and laughed non stop from 6 in the evening to 3:30 in morning.

Yes, I hosted them. I enjoy hosting friends and family for dinner.. It was the first time since the pandemic.

Since it was my cat's birthday instead of continuing to sleep I got up but she was angry at me so bit me. I believe she wanted me to get up earlier. That must have been something to meet his childhood friend and you could find out stuff about your husband when he was a young boy. That is great that you have two days off in a row. That is great that you will have short week this week.

I am sorry that you got bitten by your cat. Hope it's not something serious.
Yes, it is fun to listen to silly and fun stories of their childhood and growing up years. Though it's my holiday tomorrow, I plan to stick to my routine and get things done around the house and work online.
My husband and daughters have school and office tomorrow. So anyway i will wake up early to do things so that they get food on time .
