How do you celebrate independence day?

Hiiii everyone,
Today My family saw celebration of independence day on tv. I remembered a quote which i listened on tv.
That quotes told by MAHATMA GANDHI......
" Complete independence through truth and non-violence means the independence of every unit, be it the humblest of the nation, without distinction of race, colour or creed."
In school and college time, i go to there to watch, many functions in last got boondi ke laddoo(sweet name)
This year i got a more sweet gift from gf this day. She sent a sweet voice record of national anthem to me.
Actually she is from Indonesia and there language is Indonesian bahasa. So her gift is more important for me and she speak hindi like any local Indian speaker
So, friends, what you do or did these day in your college's or school's time?

Wow what a great quote from mahatma gandi. That's how it's supposed to be. By the way, is your gf indonesian? may I know where is it? cz I'm from Indonesia. Soon my country will celebrate its independence day on August 17th.
