A cross country bicycle ride from Washington state to New York

I will give my respects to nine year old Shepherd Colver who convinced his dad James Clover to take a bicycle ride from their home state in Washington to the Statue of Liberty in New York City New York. I admire Shepherd since the cross country ride by bicycle was a distance of 3,3000 miles. Shepherd and his dad started the long distance trip in 2019 but the first attempt to travel cross country was halted since Shepherd was diagnosed with diabetes. In the spirit of never giving up his dream, Shepherd and his father took the long distance bicycle from Washington state to New York Coty around April 2021 and finished in August 2021. James admitted that the long distance cross country ride on a bicycle was worth it since the bond between father and son grew stronger. James and Shepherd are now back home with their mother in Washington State since I guess they took a plane ride back home from New York City.
