Not sure where to go for dinner tonight

Now that the we have a new mandate here that only vaccinated people are allowed to dine indoors (so people get the damn vaccine) wonder where to try going for dinner tonight.
I am craving for some tacos after watching a show on the Food Network yesterday. Not sure if we have any Mexican restaurants near me that have outdoor seating...
I would maybe go to one of my favorite sushi spots instead. However, that restaurant doesn't have outdoor dining. Now the only way to eat their food is to order takeout. Unless we go there and they let us in.

Our restaurants are still open for indoor dining; and I didn't see ANYONE with a mask on yesterday.

All our restaurants are still open too. And I find it interesting that our county reinstated the mandatory mask rule, yet I hardly see anyone wearing masks. I think people are just fed up and tired of this pandemic. I still wear my mask everywhere, but I don't blame them for not wearing theres. If you think about it, the government told us to wear masks, wash our hands, use hand sanitizer, maintain social distance, and more to protect us against the virus. Yet everyone still keeps getting the virus anyway, so what's the point?

Restaurants are open here too for indoor dining but they are only allowed to let people in who are vaccinated. If they choose to ignore that and still let unvaccinated people in they may be fined if caught or ratted out I guess. I think first offence is $1K and second offence is 5K.

@moffittjc Everything they told us to do, including jailing ourselves inside our homes, didn't stop people from getting sick with covid and in huge numbers.

I had sushi yesterday for dinner! Fortunately, all of our restaurants are still open, including inside and outside dining. Well, the restaurants that can get workers to show up that is.
There was big news here yesterday, a customer at a local seafood restaurant left a $10,000 tip, along with a message that stated he was thankful and appreciated that all the staff came to work, even in the midst of the Covid crisis numbers spiking right now.

@lovebuglena Either the guy was rich, or he found a clever way to get himself a tax write-off.

@moffittjc Maybe the latter is what happened.

Wow! That guy must be rich to leave a tip like that. We didn't go out yesterday. We ordered in though. From the nearby sushi place we frequent.
There should be no reason to close restaurants for in-person dining. That will just heart the businesses even more.

Such a shame all the limitations with the dining thing Lena.
Let us know what you choose if you do decide to go.
Is husband off early tonight?

We decided to have sushi but we ordered in instead of going out to eat. And chances are if this sushi spot actually started following this mandate we wouldn't be able to eat there as they have no outdoor seating.
Hubby usually works until 6 pm Saturdays.

@just4him Since there is no outdoor dining there, most likely we wouldn't be able to dine there anyway if they follow the indoor dining vaccination mandate set by our mayor.

The question is, how afraid are New Yokers? You won't know unless they ask you for your vax card.

Yesterday we just ordered food for pick up and ate at home. Next time I do hope to try going out to eat somewhere.

In Indonesia it's worse, for some places that put on red zone ( a zone where the case of covid 19 infection is very high ) you can only eat in a restaurant for 30 minutes and you can't go to market, mall,or supermarket without vaccine certificate

Wow! Thirty minutes is not enough to eat. And it's wrong to allow only vaccinated people inside supermarkets. What if people cannot get the vaccine for medical reasons or even simply choose not to risk getting the vaccine? How are they supposed to get food for themselves?
