I have to give the winner of the Lotto 47 jackpot a lot of credit for playing the same number combination for 30 years that paid off in him winning $18.4 million dollars on the July 31 drawing.
What is known about the lottery winner is that he is 61 years of age, lives in Roscommon County in Michigan.
For obvious reasons, he decided not to reveal his name to the public since he will likely encounter relatives and friends who will come up to him to beg for money based on hard luck stories that have encountered.
The lucky lottery winner decided to take the one time payment which will be around $11.7 million dollars which he will share with his relatives, donate to charities and save the remainder of his lottery winnings after he visited the Michigan Lottery offices.
It takes a lot of stamina for any lottery player to play the same six numbers on the Lotto games.
The Family E Z Mart which is located in Prudenville where the winning lottery number was sold will receive a portion of the prize money from Michigan Lottery officials which was not disclosed.

I wonder how much he spends for 30 years buying lottery tickets before he won the $18.4 millions? I hope not breakeven instead of a profit.

@Deepizzaguy Yeah, lottery game is already calculated for profit in favour of the investor not the player. They only allocate few winners, so they have a big profit.

The late Donna Summer had a song called "Fame (The Game)" which states that being famous can make anyone look foolish. The lottery winner is smart to keep a low profile.

Good for him.
$18.4million down to $11.7million is kinda steep. Was the money deducted because of taxes?
Still, $11million is $11million and I'm sure the winner will make the most of his winnings.

Wow! I was glad to hear this. I have been playing the same numbers since 1989. Maybe my turn is coming!

That is a good story, in regards to stickability.
There was a case on our local television, where a man did a similar thing for 35 years, or so, and then his numbers came up too, and so he thought that he had won the jackpot, 25 million dollars.
There was a problem though, as he found the same ticket that he usually enters, in his wallet, and he had forgotten to put it on that week.
Thirty-five years he had not forgotten to use the same numbers, and put them dutifully on each week, without ever missing a week, and then when the winning numbers came up, it slipped his mind that he hadn't entered that week, thinking of course that he had already done so.
Now that is a hard-luck story....

I know what you mean since I have been advised by life coaches on Twitter to stick to what I doing which is right since the payoff will come.

@Deepizzaguy Yes, I have also heard that when we are doing something, we should never give up 5 minutes early, as when we do, our bus will usually then come in, and we will have missed it....
