Greetings from almost the center of Indiana. It’s a few miles north to Indianapolis, but just south is the lovely town of Columbus, where we’ll be battling the course and the heat this weekend. Before I head out to sweat, I mean practice, I’ll give you a couple of songs. First up is the legendary singer and songwriter (as in, “Love Will Keep Us Together”), Neil Sedaka. Here’s today’s song by this man who should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. #9: Calendar Girl There is actually a video for this song!! While it follows the lyrics much more closely, it’s so hokey I can’t bring myself to link it. Instead, below you’ll see an older Sedaka still having fun with the innocent rock and roll he created in the 50s and 60s. Not much to this song, as was true of most early rock songs.
