Along with the early rock favorite Neil Sedaka I’m counting down my favorites by The Rolling Stones. Can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to get to them! In memory of Charlie Watts I’m looking my top ten from the Stones, and here’s the next song.
#9: Ruby Tuesday
Great song, lousy restaurant.
Seriously, there are three restaurant chains I’ve decided I’m not hungry enough to eat at a second time, and Ruby Tuesday’s is one of them. (The other are Applebee’s and TGIFriday’s.)
But this isn’t about eating. This is about a terrific ballad.
I need to do another one of those countdowns like I did last year showing songs that people still know and hear that are 40 and 50 years old. You’ll probably hear this song that’s nearly fifty five years old on your classic rock station today.
Well, for good reason. It’s a good song. And music isn’t milk: it doesn’t get sour as it gets old.

Our Ruby Tuesday's closed, and became a Mission BBQ so I was happy!!!
I always thought this one (Ruby Tuesday) was a song that really showed the Stones range. Well up there with Beast of Burden in my book!

I agree. We don't like Ruby Tuesdays or Applebee's. Good choice. I was out of high school and working. I was 19.

This is probably my #1 favorite. I always strongly related to it... and then I did lose my dreams and lose my mind.
