Happy Tuesday Everyone! a sunny day and not brutally hot. Of course it's still summer so it's hot but not unbearable.
August is ending and I can honestly say I'm not sad to see it go. I really didn't enjoy the summer very much because if it wasn't raining it was just tooooo hot and humid.
I'm looking forward to some nice cool, crisp Fall days so I can open the windows and fill the house with fresh air.
What I can't wrap my head around is that we're already 8 months into this year. I say it all the time...time is flying by. But gee whiz I feel as if it's moving faster than ever.
I saw something yesterday that we only have 17 more Fridays until Christmas. That almost makes it seem like Christmas is tomorrow and I have to rush to start shopping.
Meanwhile I really need to focus on today and stop looking so far ahead.
I have plenty of catching up here to do while I have my coffee. Today might require cup #3

You summarized the summer really well, it was the same here also.
Very disappointing as far as the weather was concerned.
I did get outside and took a quick little walk around the block this morning, the humidity level is lower today and it isn't terribly hot, yet. There was actually a nice breeze. Now, mind you, I still have all of the windows closed and the a/c on, but it is a little nicer.

My house has been closed up with the a/c going for months. I just got my power bill and they increased my monthly payment. I'm on the budget plan so I get billed monthly instead of paying the full amount each month. Paying an estimated bill each month just makes it easier and usually it works itself out by years end. I'm sure the increase is due to my a/c running and running and running this summer.

@Marilynda1225 Our bill was up also, but its a choice. I remember before we were married, our home that we were raised in did not have any a/c and I love having it, so will gladly pay for it monthly.
I just checked the weather forecast for the area that we are going to later on this week, beautiful weather.
I was afraid that it was going to be cool, but it only looks like the holiday Monday itself will be cool, and we will be on our way back home then.

I heard Halloween is going up in the stores and school hasn't started yet. Yes, time is flying by. I'm glad August is finished too. 8 days until I move. 
Now, remember what you said about summer being too hot and humid when you're complaining about winter and all that snow and cold and wishing for summer.
Seventeen weeks until Christmas. Time to get the shopping done before the crowds take over. I wonder how many people will shop online this year for Christmas.
I hope that third cup won't keep you awake tonight.

Would you believe my neighbor put all her Halloween decorations out about 2 weeks ago. Talk about rushing things.
Guess I've complained enough about the summer humidity and rain. I promise to keep my complaining to a minimum when it comes to snow. Maybe I'll be happy like you when it snows this winter

@Marilynda1225 Yes, I believe it. I haven't seen any decorations yet, but now that school is back in session, it will be the next thing to see in the neighborhoods.
I'm going to remind you of that when I read your first winter/snow complaint.

This August was the pits. It wasn't sooo hot here, but the humidity was awful. We have nice temps coming up once this hurricane goes by..Accuweather is even calling Friday..Delightful!!!! Woohoo, all I can say is we deserve it.

It happens to be cool today (maybe for half the week it will be like this), but I know typically for us summer is not quite over yet. This year certainly moved faster than last year, but yes, it's hard to believe we are this far into 2021 already - where did the time go. Oh my goodness I cannot even think about Christmas yet - I think we will keep the holidays minimal still this year. I've got errands, school routines, and kids' appointments today . . . busy week period! Hope you have a good rest of the week!

When do your kids go back to school? my grandchildren started yesterday
I'm sure our Christmas won't be a huge celebration again this year but that's on the back burner. I haven't given it a thought since I mentioned it this morning

@Marilynda1225 My kids started a couple weeks ago, but 2 weeks before that was my son's Summer Bridge program. Hope your grandchildren have a great school year!
Although we make short delivery visits to my parents, they are not ready to have an indoor gathering and honestly we are not either. Right - I'm going to put off thinking about the holidays for now

I haven't thought about Christmas since I mentioned it this morning I always say I'm going to start shopping early and then I never do. My grandkids are older now so it's even harder to buy them gifts ahead of time.

Im just back from 6 weeks away...I have to go to work tomorrow. I too am looking forward to the Autumn days ....I love it as the leaves change colour.
