It makes my day when users comment on my responses

The first thing I do after attending to notifications here at myLot is to reach for the top rated. I respond to quite a few but just a few get back to comment on my responses.
This Site is for interaction but when responses lay there unattended it is not a good thing.
What could be the reason users do not bother to comment. Do not tell me there is nothing to comment That is not true. What else could be the reason?

It is not understood why they do not interact but as I have already said users will not get to their posts if they do this often. Sometimes one may not have the time.

@allknowing in my case I agree I don't get the time. Also, I get bored of the same post so find out some new posts to read and comment on.

I have noticed that. Same here I only do not bother when a user has the same response to every single post of mine - "nice post" Gr...........

@allknowing I told the person doing that not to bother talking on my discussions if she can't be bothered writing something different for each discussion. I don't understand why that would be so difficult.

If the same user does that constantly I stop commenting on their posts

I guess sometimes they just can't think of a response. Or some people like to just keep posting a stream of posts and don't go back to reply to responses. Have a look to see if they post a lot - if not, perhaps try asking questions in your responses and see if they reply.

What kind of complicated responses that users write here that one cannot think of a comment? It is either they just do not open to see the responses or decide to ignore. If you open your post and see the responses how long will it take to post a nice comment?
And then there is the not liking responses and comments and that is another saga.

@allknowing I admit that sometimes, if someone posts a response basically agreeing with whatever I said in my post, I find it hard to think of any reply other than 'thanks'

I think some does not like to reply back maybe because of time, they will post discussions but won't answer responds
