Can you imagine a stranger combination than The Rolling Stones and Neil Sedaka? Well, I happen to like ‘em both! Sedaka much more than the Stones….I know, there’s no accounting for taste. 
But I’m big enough to admit it in public! (I only go into a music closet to listen to Phil Collins. ) Here’s the next song on my list of favorites by Sedaka.
#4: That’s When the Music Takes Me
You talk about a song that explains just what music does to me!!!
Yeah, I’ll be the first to admit that Sedaka’s not a “rocker” in the same league that the Stones are. But dang this guy has done some terrific, feel-good music throughout his career!!! (Remember I said that, because the last three are ballads/mid-tempo songs. )
And this is about as good a musical explanation for why I like Sedaka as any you’ll ever hear.

You mean after all this time I’ve been talking about him you’ve STILL never heard of him?
Did you make it through those storms okay? I saw that NYC got slammed, and I was up at 2 AM watching tornado warning coverage out of Boston.

@NJChicaa — glad to hear it. I have a friend who lives in Trenton and was in the path of that tornado emergency yesterday evening. She’s fine.

You sound a lot like me with your varied tastes in music genres, music is a gift, it makes us happy and lights up our brains with electrical circuits of joy. I enjoy Toby Mac, Marco Antonio Solis, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, and Twenty One Pilots as much as I do Jackson Browne, Otis Redding and BB King. See what I mean LOL. My family, we are all the same , I suspect it began with me :)
