Things are normal here: I’m home, I’m at a local Tex-Mex restaurant as usual on Saturday, and I’m going to use a song from the great Neil Sedaka that I’ve used before. You know why I’ve used it? Because I love it! That’s also why it’s so high on the list. And here it is. #2: King of Clowns Hey, didn’t I use this in the “king and queen” countdown? Why, yes, thanks for noticing! This wasn’t typical happy, upbeat Sedaka stuff, and people who were used to the happy stuff didn’t understand that Neil could do other things. Too bad. I love it. King of Clowns Written by Neil Sedaka and Howard Greenfield Released as a single, 1962 I’ve been sad, I’ve been blue:
