My mother tried to grow a bitter gourd.
At first it was so good because it has many small sprouting bitter gourd.
But after a few days passed by each bitter gourd started to rot.
I told her to wrap those bitter gourd while still small with plastic or paper.
I wish the next time some bitter gourd will start to show up.
She will manage to prevent those insects from eating those bitter gourd again.
I like bitter gourd specially when cook mix with eggs.
It's one of my favorite simple, nutritious and delicious dish.
Do you guys like bitter gourd?

Wrapping it with plastic or paper won't prevent insects for pesting it.You should also apply pesticides. Why told your mother to wrap it, why not try to help your mother with those plants, and manage it, both of you to prevents those insects pesting it again.

@solidcodes you dont have to be a master gardener to be able to know what to do in plants. We live in province, and we grow plants in our backyards and fields.

@solidcodes Yes, I am 100%. I lived here with my husband and daughter. Too hot in the Philippines, that's why I'm here to cool down. LOL
