Bitter Gourd growing

My mother tried to grow a bitter gourd. At first it was so good because it has many small sprouting bitter gourd. But after a few days passed by each bitter gourd started to rot. I told her to wrap those bitter gourd while still small with plastic or paper. I wish the next time some bitter gourd will start to show up. She will manage to prevent those insects from eating those bitter gourd again. I like bitter gourd specially when cook mix with eggs. It's one of my favorite simple, nutritious and delicious dish. Do you guys like bitter gourd?
