How is YOUR Saturday?

Well Saturday has snuck up on me rather quickly. I have had a super busy week and haven't checked in here for several days. So, I thought it was time to put up a post!
What have I been doing? The nursing home battle contines. I'm trying to find out why my mothers supplemental health insurance was canceled effective August 31, 2021. The nursing home has really copped an attitude now and tell me that since my mother's social security check does not go directly to them, they cannot help me with such matter. HOGWASH!
Her prescriptions, filled by the company the nursing home uses, left me a voice mail that said they haven't been paid in months. I called back and told her I havne't received a bill from them since December of last year. She had the P.O. Box mailing address and I told her about the fraud at the post office with someone taking mail out of my box. I gave her my home address so that won't happen again. She was able to subscribe my mother to another health plan. I didn't ask any questions because she needs some kind of coverage for her medication. Seems like if this lady could do something and took it upon herself to help, the nursing home could have done this too.
Next problem is the vision and hearing plan I signed my mother up for that is reimbursed by Medicaid sent a bill for over $1200.00. I called to see what was going on with this and she told me the way it works is the nursing home credits mom's account for the amount of the premium each month. I told her as far as I know they are not doing this. She tried to call them and discuss this but the financial lady will not accept her phone calls. Amazing huh?
I am still waiting for word from Medicaid to see if she got her renewal. If not, I don't know what we are going to do.
I have been cleaning the yard up inbetween dealing with all this BS. It is going very slowly but we have had two big bonfires so far. Today I want to have another one. I'm not staying out there long today though.

I am so sorry you are dealing with all that crap with the nursing home and the insurance. Your mother deserves better. I'm glad you are there to fight the battles for her, even though it must be very taxing for you.
My Saturday was pretty decent. I watched the Gators win their football game, and also watched Ohio State lose theirs!

Now that is the way for Ohio to start a new season! Maybe we won't have to listen to all the greatness of that team this year over and over!
The Tigers also won their game but it was on premium pay for channels. They played in-state McNeese which wasn't much of a challenge but with the way they played last week that statment could be challenged. At least they came out with a W. I think the final score was 27-7. I was hoping for a shutout but they let them score in the 4th.
Glad ya'll won. Who did ya'll play this week?

@moffittjc Getting it over with quickly!! I wish we played them early. They are always at top notch when we get them later in season. I'm sorry you will miss *going* to the game, but at least you can watch it on television!! (or hopefully!!!)

I have talked to them before but I am not authorized to speak for her. All of that should have been done before she got to where she is today. Her sister begged her to give me Power of Attorney and she refused. I asked her to give it to a niece if she couldn't give it to me. That didn't go over either. Some will talk to you if she gives permisssion and that all depends on the mood and where her mind is on that given day. I'm to the pont now to where I don't remember which agency she gave permission to and which ones she didn't.

I'm sorry your last day was ruined by the liquid falling from the sky.
I'm surprised that myLot hasn't banned that word..haha. You found a way around it!! Kudos!
Just ignore the newbie, they are probalby jelly!!!

The journey home was quick
But could have been quicker.
We.got held up for 20 minutes by a car crash.
But it stayed dry.
Had a nice long hot bath last night

Hope this is sorted out.
Sunday night here and looking forward to another work week. I hope I get a new job soon. I have an interview tomorrow evening and two job offers already but I'm still looking around.
