I've been watching Life Below Zero and Life Below Zero: Next Generation. These are shows about people living and surviving in the Alaskan wilderness. They live in cabins, hunt for meat (whether by shooting or trapping), and they also fish. At times they do ice fishing.
In a few of the episodes where someone was ice fishing I heard them call a fish Dolly Parton when they caught one. I was shocked. Had no idea there was a fish by that name. I wondered why it's called that way and if it has any connection to the American country singer Dolly Parton.
Decided to google it just now and turns out I was wrong. The name of the fish is Dolly Varden. And it's a type of a trout. Parton and Varden sort of have a similar pronunciation. Perhaps that's why I thought I heard Dolly Parton. And I wasn't the only one who thought that.

@RebeccasFarm LOL that's a funny movie. But I don't get why it's titled the way it is. Do you know?

Oh! Really? I loved eating trout. I watch this show too, but not as much as I watch the Alaska The Last Frontier.
