Losing friends to Covid

Two people I've been watching on YouTube for over 5 years died in the past 3 weeks. They refused to get the vaccine and equated mandates for either them or masks an affront to their freedoms. Weird thing is, they NEVER brought up politics or anything so the time I watched until this last three months when I wasn't watching. Their very last video proclaimed their refusal to get the shots saying all they needed to do anything was a birth certificate and the Bill of Rights. They were dead less than two months later. I loved watching them. They were always talking about seeing doctors and how the wife survived a rare bone cancer as a teenager. No clue that they viewed this differently. None. It hurts because they were very much in love after 20+ years, but left their two kids with their business and their expenses. The oldest recently married right out of high school. The youngest is a high school senior. I'm devastated for those kids and that their parents who did believe in science and medicine bought into this freedom garbage. Another friend who lived in Mississippi died in July and I just found out. The only clue was she mentioned pneumonia on her last FB post. I have no doubt she too lost to covid. This rabid opposition to vaccines has to stop. So many claim God will protect them. So why are they ignoring those with the talents God gave them in science and medicine? Did Jesus not say let those who are ill see a physician? They may claim faith, but they certainly don't read scripture.

Getting vaccinated doesn't guarantee you won't get Covid and possibly even die from it.... But it does give you a chance at not getting it... And if you do get Covid after being vaccinated, at least, if you live through it, you won't have any of the health problems that people who don't get vaccinated but get Covid are guaranteed to have... for the rest of their lives.

@DaddyEvil It is just weird to me. A person doesn't get the damn vaccine and never gets covid. Then that person gets the vaccine and soon after gets covid. Is that simply a coincidence then? I'd think the vaccine would have something do to with it.
