You'll never believe what my daughter's going through now

Many of you know about our daughter Tammy's rare medical issues. Nothing's changed with those, good or bad. But she called yesterday to tell us what happened when the installers were taking up the carpet in her living room to put down laminate flooring. The sub floor underneath is wet! And there was the start of mold, but it was hopefully cleaned away. It's in other rooms also and no one can figure out how it happened. No pipe leaks, no commode problems, a total mystery. But they've got to find out the cause before it can be repaired and replaced. If it hadn't been discovered, eventually their feet would have gone right through the floor! It's not an old house. They're praying their home owners' insurance will cover the damages. And that the walls somehow aren't damp. They're walking on plywood boards that are laid down, but what a nightmare!

OMG, that is horrible I hope that home insurance covers it but I don't have a lot of faith that they will. I will keep her in my prayers.

@BelleStarr Oh, that means the world to me. I love that God hears and answers our prayers no matter how far apart we live.

What a nightmare for sure. Glad they found it before someone was injured. Maybe the insurance will cover the repairs.

We're all praying it will. Of course the adjusters are backed up from all the flooding and hurricanes around the country.

@CarolDM Thanks! Today her 12 year old came home saying a classmate tested positive for Covid. Landon gets his second shot tomorrow, but no idea what happens now.

That's a shame, I feel so badly for her, she has been thru so much. The good thing is that they found it relatively early I take it that nobody has been injured, and hopefully they can find the cause so that they can begin the renovations.

It won't be quick, but I pray the insurance will cover whatever it is.

Oh man. That would not have been good. At least it was discovered before anyone found themselves inadvertently in the basement. lol

Yeah, they're glad it was discovered in time. Sure hope the walls aren't wet, too. It's such a mystery so far.
