My Favorite Songs Featuring A "Body Part" In The Title- #2 Funny how musicians can find different areas of the body to use as inspiration for a song title. They use the senses like your eyes, limbs like arms and legs, and other pieces of your anatomy from head to toe. Quite a creative way to come up with a tune! So, this trivia series contains songs with some musical "body art," hope you enjoy them... You'll need to have your "heads up" on this song/artist trivia quiz, if you know what I mean. This one could could be a "head-scratcher" when trying to figure out the "titles" to these tunes, so let's not "lose our heads." Having something on your mind can really "mess with you" as ELO so adeptly puts it in their song "Can't Get It Out Of My Head." Enjoy the tune and I hope this quiz doesn't "play a Head Game" with you Alright it's now time to name that tune and the artists who recorded them- Whodunnit? (Remember words in quotations can provide hints to the music trivia answers) Trivia Clues: 1. Like many of this band's early hits this one deals with an up and down relationship where the guy can't take it anymore. The title of this song was mentioned somewhere in the paragraph's above, and is the theme for today's body part. Can you find it? This supergroup formed in 1976 and their career took off with four straight platinum albums. With songs like "Feels Like The First Time," "Cold As Ice" and "Hot Blooded," they were a frequent visitor on the record charts. Their success continued into the 80's with "Waiting For A Girl Like You" and "Urgent." Fill in the blank and you've got the group: Someone who is entering from another country might be called a ________________, which is the same name as this band. -Can you name this band and their heady song? 2. This 1969 #1 song was written for the movie "Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid." If you saw the movie you might remember Paul Newman doing bicycle tricks during a scene while the song played. This artist had another big hit with "Hooked On A Feeling." In 1975, this performer released the tune "(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song" (the longest-titled No. 1 hit ever on the Hot 100). This pop singer's first name was "Billy Joe" but he decided to change it to just his initials instead. Last song clue: What might happen to you if you went outside in the rain without an umbrella? Fun Fact: This artist was getting over laryngitis when he recorded this tune. It gave the song a raspy quality that the producers of the movie liked. -Do you know this pop artist and his # 1 song which became a big hit after he recorded it for a movie? 3. This British/American Rock band achieved worldwide success in the 70's when these two members joined the group. Their first album with their new lineup reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and their next did even better getting the Grammy Award for "Album of the Year in 1978." That second album "Rumours" sold over 40 million copies worldwide. One of the band's tunes, "Don't Stop" was even used as Bill Clinton's campaign song when he ran for President. The band had several hit singles from their self-titled first album including "Rhiannon and Say You Love Me," in addition to our trivia tune . In this song the girl is "head over heels" into the guy but is confused because one moment he's "taking her to paradise, and the next he's cold as ice." Final song clue (Fill In the blank:) When something is too difficult to understand then the topic went right __________________. -Can you name this band who headed right to the top in 1975 with an album that included this song? Ok, let's "build up a head of steam" when solving these song and artist answers. If your stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. Or as Randy Newman would say, "You've Got A Friend In Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with another music trivia version next week. 1. Your clue gave me Foreigner which I would not have known. I heard of this group but do not know their songs very well, except for their hit "I Want To Know What Love Is". Based on reading the post, is the song Head Games? 2. The song is easy: "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head" and the artist is B. J. Thomas. 3. Based on the clues, the song is Over The Head but can't think of the group at the moment though I should know it but I hear a woman singing.

That ELO song is quite good, thank you. 1. That band has always been foreign to me. In fact, they were the headliners at my second-ever rock concert, and I was there for every band except them, so I left after the co-headliner (Steve Miller, who did those songs “Fly Like My Head” and “Take the Head and Run” ). I was in the Navy when that album came out, so to me a “head game” was trying to get out of cleaning the men’s room when i had duty. 2. And he’s one of the victims of 2021. He passed away a few weeks after announcing he had stage IV lung cancer. Think you’ll ever stop the rain by complaining? 3. I get in trouble when I say this, but Christine McVie is the woman singer in Fleetwood Mork (the band that Robin Williams took over ) for me. I mean, listen to the beauty of her voice on “Songbird” versus Stevie’s. I like Stevie okay, I guess I got used to her (kinda like Linda McCartney’s ‘harmonies’ sound like they belong there after a while), but nothing compared to Christine. Am I over my head in this opinion?

Yes, that ELO song can really "get into one's head!" Great tune Well, aren't we "The Joker" with the Foreigner put downs. I thought Bad Company was the better band during that time. But I must admit, Lou and Mick did write some catchy tunes which grew on me. I was sad to hear of BJ's passing. I think Hooked On A Feeling was an outstanding tune. Christine contributed some really good pop songs in Fleetwood Mac. Sings like an angel she does. Stevie's voice reminds me of Kim Carnes or Rod Stewart. Pure rock with a rough edge to it. I imagine fronting the band helps her image. And the guys in the crowd were all "head over heels in love" with her watching her twirl around wearing that catchy top hat in concert. Kind of distracts you from that raspy voice, lol. Anyway, I don't think you "need you head examined" with that perceptive viewpoint BTW: That was "heads up" on your part regarding the Head
