Its My Great-Grandma Rachel's Birthday Today

Great-grandma Rachel Ellen "Nettie" Sullivan was born on September 19, 1867. She is my maternal great gran. She came from Buffalo Grove, Buchanan, Cedar Iowa. She married James Henry Wilson. I remember seeing him once when he came to visit. My mom and I were living with my grandmother then, had a mobile home just across the driveway from their place. I was preschool age when Grandma Rachel came to live with us. She was blind and I was assigned to keeping her company while grandma worked out in the garden. I remember reading to her from Reader's Digest. Sometimes I'd make up stories. She would sit and sew quilt pieces together. She was 93 when she passed. I have several family photos with her in them. Wish I could share them but have no scanner or other options to put them online.
