What is your morning routine?

I am very anxious in the morning. I brush my teeth. After that I eat. But I need a new routine. I read that a routine in the morning is useful. After you wake up what is the first thing that you do? I am checking my e-mails after waking up. This is not good.

Honestly I love my mornings, I wake up at 5, to do my bible study. At 6 I go for a run which usually takes about an hour, from running i take a nice bath, clean the house and have a nice cup of tea as I do my online jobs.

Do you do your bible study before eating? If you don't mind can you tell me what are your online jobs? I am interested to work and maybe you can help me with some ideas.Your mornings seem great.

@dya80dya For years I haven't been able to eat in the morning.I have signed up for Proofreading.com, i get proofreading gigs there, I dont always have gigs but when i do have, it really helps, then i have mylot, forum coin and beermoney forum, i also have few survey sites like superpayme and Polific.

There is a meditation I do every morning for 20 minutes and the same I do at night just before going to bed. I sit in a relaxed position , close my eyes and focus on my body from head to toe. Feel my breathing. Feel my heartbeat. At the same time, I am aware of all the sounds around me. Gradually, this simple exercise makes me feel the energy within. This is a simple exercise which anybody can do.

Hello, Diana. You responded in my post about prayer and I was curious about your response. So I checked your page and found this discussion. Yes, you do need a new routine. Glad you realized that for your self. I suggest that the moment you open your eyes, thank God for the long night's sleep and for the new day you are about to live. Then you can proceed to care for your physical well-being which includes food and exercise. The emails can come when you are already relaxed.

@dya80dya A troubled sleep, or an erratic sleep, could have contributed to the confused state and physical weakness. Eight hours of sleep is necessary to heal and rejuvenate the eight organs of the body.

Hello. I will try to do this. I responded now to that question. When I wake up I feel very confused and weak. Maybe a new routine will help me to not feel this way.

I go down, I prepare breakfast and we have breakfast with my husband. When finished I wash the dishes, then I take a shower and brush my teeth, I dress up and then I turn on my computer, check my mails and the myLot notifications.

@LadyDuck What kind of jam do you prefer? This is a good idea. I don't know what to eat in the morning. I eat only protein(meat) and this is not healthy.

I would just turn off my alarm and start preparing to go to work. Morning is the busiest for me.

Mine changes all the time. What helps is if you write down what you want to do first thing in the morning.

This is a good idea. But when I wake up I am confused and weak. It's hard to do something when you feel this way. I will think about something.

For me when I wake up first thing I do is brush my teeth and take my dog outside. From there I feed and water my furry friend, take my medicines, give my dog his medicine, I'll then play with my dog for a little bit before actually starting my day. I also make sure my wake-up time is the same every day. I see from your profile picture you have a cat. Have you tried incorporating your kitty into your morning routines?

Now I have two cats. I haven't incorporated my cats. When I wake up my cats are both fed. My mom feeds them. I am so confused when I wake up that I am not able to do much. You do lots of things when you wake up.

@dya80dya It took a while to get to the point I am. Keeping the same wake up and sleep times really helped make everything easier. Might want to ask your mom to let you feed the cats, its a small thing but having a routine is very very helpful
