There will never be a repeat of this

My friend with her husband came over and spent a few days with us a few years ago. She often came and most of the time alone. We even went to Goa together but this will never be repeated as we are both getting old and also this Pandemic has made it impossible. Cannot believe that socialising is now rare and that is what human beings want. It is difficult to live without it. How are you coping?.

I've never been that social of a person to start with. It hasn't affected me. My husband is looking to retire soon, so I'll have to get used to having him around seven days a week.

@kaylachan That is the problem with men. Women will always find something to keep them occupied.

I feel like as a world society we are all deprived of the social needs that we are so used to due to covid. It just is not safe. We rely on face time and emails and phone calls to stay in touch, but it is not the same.

@sjvg1976 Besides the suggested protocol there is nothing more we can do and that itself is too much specially maintaining social distance.

I think Covid has been hard on everyone around the world. All we can do is cope the best that we can.

With my friends so as not to feel so alone when it was impossible to go out, we organized virtual calls to play and talk, now we go out because we are all vaccinated and our families are too, however all the time we have our masks on and we do not share food, we are cared for.
