I don't have a microwave. Single serve microwave rice, says you can stovetop it by boiling it for 10 minutes. Tried it, it worked! Nice fluffy & hot rice. Went to get more, Marukai out of Tamaki Gold, for now.

That's good! I have not heard of such rice. It's quick to cook like instant meals.

That's really good. My Mum uses single serve microwave rice in a pouch called Uncle Bens and I think you can cook that on the stove too.

Fantastic, they remember we single serve as need people. This stovetop rice is just for one too.

@oahuwriter Well, I actually tried the Uncle Bens single serve rice pouches once on the hob, and I found that half was enough for me, so I saved the other half in the pouch with a peg on to keep it closed and put it in the cupboard for later!

So don't watch. I just put the pot with water on the stove and eventually the water boils.

I do... I'm not waiting that long for something that can be done in a minute. I could be teasing you on myLot instead of waiting and watching the water boil.

I see. Maybe an oriental store might have some? An online search should help.

@Shavkat That's nice. Only if you interested in microwave rice, it's good to look for it. There might be different brands of it, or other non sticky instant rice meals.

@DianneN I see. Bags of rice too big for me. It's good for families like yours. Companies thought of everyone, a nice bag of rice for you & single serve microwave or stovetop rice for me.
