I have to stop with the food waste

I am wasting so much food and money these days. I make dishes and then have only 1 serving before throwing the rest away. In the past week I've thrown out roasted chicken thighs, roasted potatoes, cream of zucchini soup, Mexican macaroni and cheese, cored pineapple, and frozen mushroom bourguignon. The food just doesn't appeal to me and the idea of having it in the fridge (or freezer) stresses me out. I am throwing money straight into the trash. I have challenges because I am sick and my appetite is so crazy these days. I buy what sounds good to me one day but often by the time I get around to making it I no longer want it. Ugh. This sucks. I wish I was good like The Sojourner and could repurpose things. I am not creative in the kitchen.

Actually, you almost sound like me, I don't make as much but I make something them eat half and I won't any more, Luckily some of the things like potatoes go for the kittens, I hope you get your appetite back,

Sorry you are sick. I hate to waste food I understand.

Give some to neighbors instead of tossing it if you don't want it anymore. I try to only cook enough for 2 people so there is no leftovers because I'm not a fan of it as I hate having the same thing over and over.

I know. I've learned to make what I have on hand. We rarely have to toss things out. Didn't start that way. First place we lived, we'd conduct our own science experments in our fridge, because we'd forget about things.

I'm sorry you don't feel well. I wish there were stray cats and dogs or even human neighbors who would take that food off your hands.

Have a meal plan, lessen the number of servings to your liking which is only enough for you so it won't go to waste. And I suggest if you have plenty leftover you can give some to your neighbor.

Aren't you due for a doctor's visit? I wouldn't be putting it off if you are...or was it tests that you had to have?
