In honor of my new dental bridge I’m counting down the top ten songs with “bridge” in the title. Actually, the top 11, given that one of the songs on my original list isn’t available anywhere online. That’s okay. I can build a bridge over that gap, too! Here’s the first song on the list. #10: The Brooklyn Bridge - Frank Sinatra Yesterday Joy asked if she could sell me the Brooklyn Bridge. Why bother? Here it is!! I’m sure Great Martin figured this would show up, too (amid all the country music that’ll be along). And why not? There’s nothing like Sinatra. He wanted to be a part of it, in old New York…. From a Sinatra film in the mid-40s, Frankie sang his….well, I was going to say he “sang his heart out,” but let’s be honest here. Sinatra was a GREAT SINGER, period. One of his biggest all-time hits was “Strangers in the Night,” and he loathed that song. You couldn’t tell it by his performance, though.
