Some really disturbing news this morning.
I know El Paso gets a lot of illegal migrants but for Mexican military to simply cross into El Paso is a whole nother ball of wax and it makes me wonder just how safe it is to live here.
Yesterday the news told of a female soldier being assaulted by some men in the Afghan refugee enclosure in Dona Ana county NM, which is just across the New Mexico border to our north.
Here's a link to this mornings news, it really should concern all American citizens.

Just letting you know that link is not working for me Rebel.
But I had read about this yesterday sometime.
I thought it very curious about the Mexican soldiers..
But I guess everyone is coming in now due to lax policies.
I hope you are armed up there where you live.

@rebelann Yes, the dog would alert you. Let's pray there won't be any need to though. I feel you will be safe Rebelprotected I hope. It is understandable why this is worrying, I am sure I would be nervous too with that being right on top of me.

Didn’t realize they had crossed into the United States? All those signs and customs queues didn’t give them a hint? Sheesh, it took us longer to get through the customs line to get back into the U.S. than we actually spent in Mexico when we went in 1967!!!

@rebelann — no, we went over at Brownsville. And it was 1967, remember.

I've wondered for decades. Back in the mid 70s girls were being abducted here and some were finally found being kept someplace in Juarez, they would have been sold to who knows who if they hadn't been found. Juarez is a very dangerous city.

OMG, we were just talking about you the other day, how are you? Glad to see you're back.
I had to write another discussion about it, JJ told me what the problem was but when I tried to edit it wouldn't bring up the link.

I can't open the link.
Well, border security is a big concern for all the countries and it should not be compromised.

It is important to note that CBP, actually detained the 14 Mexican soldiers that crossed the border illegally.
