Although we are not required to report to work, I decided to come to the office. I just felt that I can be more productive than working from home this Monday. I have a lot of distractions at home. Chores are always in the way because I need to prepare this and that. I went to work as early as 7 in the morning and it felt great that in just few hours I had accomplished much. But not that long. I never expected that one of my co-Department heads would come and she started pestering me by asking a lot of questions, asking for favors and talking all the time. I decided to transfer to my other workplace where she could not annoy me. i was able to work a little but then of course, I already lost the momentum. Did it also happen to you? (photo is mine) but its Monday today not Wednesday!

That's the problem. I went to work because I was distracted at home and then it was all the same. Yes you were right, I should have worked from home.

Yes, it has happened to me before. Other times, I'm the annoying officemate.

That's why I prefer to work from home. Less disturbances from annoying colleagues. I can get more done when I work from home

That was a hassle. Can’t she take the hint that you were busy?

I've been working from home since March 2020. I went into the office one day to support a colleague, but I don't plan on doing it again. The nature of my job means that I have to be at my computer all the time. If it's quiet, I like to get odd jobs done at home. I find that much less frustrating than being at the office on a quiet day and thinking about the things I could be doing at home! Luckily, my husband does most of the housework so it's just odd bits that I need to do. I must confess that I enjoy being able to spend extra time at home that I used to spend travelling, and I don't miss the city centre where my office is based!

@cherigucchi Even if I did do most of the chores, I wouldn't have time to get distracted by them as my work is constant and often busy. I can't move too far from my desk as I have to be ready to answer calls, which come through my computer. The one thing I don't like about working from home is that my work computer is taking up space on my dining table so we can't use it as a dining table!

@pumpkinjam So its a different set-up that you have at work. I don't take calls but I am always into my laptop because I need to prepare some documents and presentations. I keep my office in the living room.

You have a really good work arrangement. That is my problem with working from home because I tend to do most of the house chores.
