If I could make a registry today. . .

I just perused a friend's wedding registry and purchased a gift for her. I always find it interesting to see what other people put on their wish lists. It got me thinking about what I would put on a registry today whether it be a wedding or housewarming one. Some things I would have would be: --Toaster oven. I received one at my bridal shower over a decade ago but it eventually died and I never replaced it. I'm not sure why. I used it all of the time for toast and to reheat things like pizza, french fries, etc. --Mixing bowls because you can never have too many. --Food processor. Much like the toaster oven I received a very nice one at my shower but it eventually died after many years of faithful service. --Assorted cooking utensils like a ladle, a spider, a fish spatula, etc. --New sheets and bath towels. --Waffle maker. I received a Belgian waffle maker all those years ago but it gave up the ghost a few years ago. I think I would just get a regular waffle maker the next time around because you can "waffle" other things like hash browns, crab cakes, etc. --Le Creuset bakeware. I just love Le Creuset. I have several pieces and am always down to add to my collection. --Wine glasses. I don't drink wine but friends do. We had so many wine glasses that I left most of them at the house. I received some beautiful Mikasa wine goblets at my shower but didn't start using them until I moved here a couple of years ago. 3 of the 4 have broken so I only have 1 left. It is always fun to work on a registry. I won't have the opportunity to do so again but it is nice to dream.

It's great when a woman gives hints, about the things that she would love to receive. This way, others can know exactly what to buy for her shower gift:) Something she will love!

Years ago when my brother got married I bought him a kit: a sauce pan, can of soup, tuna, noodlles. You get the idea. Probably dopey of me but those were simpler times. Last Christmas my daughter sent me a large wooden spoon for a gift!! She didn't think I had a big enough spoon for my bread making times so she found a wooden one for me.

Sounds like those could be fun.

That's quite a list. I can't think of anything that I need or want.
