Good afternoon from this side of the planet It's 3 PM here as I write this post. The government here has allowed the schools to open for physical classes now. Many schools have already started with physical classes. Private schools can take a decision depending on the consent of parents. My daughters have a mix of offline and online classes from next week. Students are called in batches to avoid overcrowding. And even my school has started for high school from this week. It's a mix of offline and online classes. Now, the school will start for younger children in Middle, primary and kindergarten too. So, teachers were supposed to meet tomorrow at school to prepare things to welcome children from October in a physical set up. A lot had to be done on logistics and planning part to follow the safety protocols and make things work smoothly in the limited resources. I am not a regular teacher but a counselor and special educator helping children with difficulties. I just got a call from the school that I might not be required to come school tomorrow and can take a day off. I just have to attend a meeting at 4 today. So, it starts in an hour. The meeting would run us through all the valid points that has to be kept in mind for a physical school. So, I get a day off tomorrow. . However, I have to go to school on Saturday to set up my things to welcome children to resource room( therapy room) where they are helped one to one for any difficulty. I also have to meet few parents who have requested to meet the counselor. So, Saturday is a long working day for me. I am going to have a broken weekend.. Friday off, Saturday working and Sunday off. Till I wait for the meeting invitation to come, I can be here and enjoy mylotting. It's the last day of the month and let me add few more cents to my bank here.
