how to upload a picture?

how do i upload an image in a new discussion mylots, i've tried to add an image to a new discussion but it always fails

Images must be no larger than 3MB.

How can you know they are 3mb. I only see a long list of numbers on my pictures.

@RubyHawk If you look at the list of files in File Explorer (or similar file list, depending on your system), you should see a column headed 'Size'. The entry in that column against the file name tells you how large the file is.

If the picture doesn't upload that means it is too big. You need to resize.
