Wasn't here most of the day yesterday. Went to my pre-employment medical exam. I picked a 10:00am schedule. Not too early and not too late. Picked out a clinic that I have had previous medical exams before with my previous company. I'm familiar with the clini anc some of the staff. Of course, being under a new normal, there were obvious changes. Everything was done online liek fillign out forms or so I thought. I still had to fill up five forms which was burdensome. Of course, I try to be as nice as possible. These people are frontliners in my opinion and their work is important. Beign under those PPEs the whole day must take their. They weren't as cheerful as I remember them. Back to the forms, the clinic already knows what tests will be tken so it would have saved everyone else time if the forms were snet to be filled out before the schduel. Just a thought. Everything was fine except the drug test. No, I didn't fail it, I did have difficulty filling up the urine bottle sample. TMI. Drank around fifteen cups of water and stood in front of the AC to finally be able to do the deed. Took me three tries to fill that thing up. Anyway, that is what happened to me yesterday. Have you got pre-employment medical exams stroies to share? Feel free to chime in.

@JimBo452020 not really. Yearly medical exams sponsored by private companies are common here in Manila.

Good thing all is done now. I can easily fill a cup with my urine. A liter of water will do it for me.

@allen0187 i could fill three bolted so easily. That’s why when I’m busy working i hardly drink any water or I’d be going to the toilet quite often.

@toniganzon I just want a nice balance. When I drink, I pee. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lucky for me, none of my previous employers required such things. However, I understand the struggle when it comes to liquid. Both my husband and I have to drink lots of water prior to getting blood draws. Otherwise our veins won't behave themselves, and we have to get sstuck more than once.

@allen0187 I agree. Then on top of that, the rest of the day is spent racing to the bathroom because of all the water.

I have been associated with the present job for around 15 years. I remember when I went for the medical test and in one of the chambers, they asked me to put off my clothes. I was hesitant at that time but when they told me that it's mandatory to check something in the tests I agreed and they did the test.

I think it would have been hard also for me to fill a bottle, a cup is fine.

It was a relatively small bottle but I also had to fill a cup for my urinalysis. That was no fun.

Not really, it's been a while, well there was the time I was going to substitute teachn and I couldn't do it because they could not get good fingerprints on me. I have worn my prints off from typing on the puter all the time. I can sometimes rejuvenate them by wearing gloves with hand lotion in them. I didn't know that then though.

Two of my jobs required me to have medical tests. As you said in your posts the medical officers were aware of the tests to be conducted. I had blood tests, chest x-ray and urine test. The urine test is the worst.

@allen0187 What is important at the end is that you filled the cup. They are hard to fill up if cannot go to the bathroom. Sorry no stories here.
