WANT VERSUS NEED

Do you buy what you need instead of what you want or the other way around? If I can have both then why not. I like to buy the things that I need and at the same time things that I like. It may be sometimes a difficult decision to make for some and I do experience it as well. It is just like setting priorities and put what is important first over what you want. Like for instance, I do really want to replace some of the furniture in the house but hubby insisted that we don't need them for now since we are still having the old ones. In a way, I agree with him. What about you? (photo is mine)

Oh well let's see I know I should only buy what I need. My wife knows that also, don't you dearest @YvonneStewart But Well We buy what the hell we want when we want it. Simple as that really. We can have both So why shouldn't we We can have need when we want and want when we want and don't really need. Selfish, maybe Irresponsible, maybe I say so what lol I must admit If my wife @YvonneStewart wanted to replace furniture I would be saying the stuff we have is ok and doesn't need replaced But if she saw a motorbike she thought would be good for us I would buy it Even though we did t need it I had 4 motorbikes once because of buying what we didn't need

That is what Corona has taught us. Go for your needs and not your wants.

Same as you, I buy what I need, it makes no sense at my age to buy what I want, I already have too much.

@LadyDuck That is true. But it is also nice to enjoy buying what you want some time.

@cherigucchi I told to my husband that we are no more young and we must stop buying things that we do not really need.

Our needs and wants vary and it depends upon on our personal attitude and mostly on our economic and social status. If one has more than to spend on needs, one goes for wants. I do the same.

I agree. If we can afford to buy what we want without sacrificing anything important, I don't see anything wrong with that.

I buy what I need but once in a while I try to please myself by getting what I want. Self care is also important

I buy what I need and if I have extra money, then I buy what I want. Sometimes I have to save up to buy what I want.
