You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have

A close friend of mine lost her husband due to Covid. She is still young, around 24 years old. She also have a five years old daughter. I messaged her today. She told me she's quitting her job and get one near home. That way it's easier to watch over her daughter and mother in law. Her father in law also died because of Covid before her husband. It's going to be a tough journey for her. I can only wish she's strong enough to go through it. She said it's going to be sad as she can't meet me easily anymore. It's not the end. We can still try to meet up if we want to.

Give her time to let her heart heal. She will one day be okay with being around others.

I hope so too. I'm not really good with comforting someone with words. So I can only support the best I could.

@prinzcy Most people aren't good at comforting with words. I'm sure you'll do just fine. All your friend really needs is to know that you care.

Being strong under those circumstances is pretty much the only option. I hope she can manage. I'm sure that knowing you are there to chat to, even if you can't meet in person, will also be a help to her.
