Reusing Teabags

These days I mostly use teabags and still put them in a teapot. I also like to try specialty teas and these frequently arrive as loose-leaf blends.
I had a teapot with a built in filter, but that got clogged and I managed to break the lid. As a replacement, I have gotten these reusable teabags. The same size as the usual bags and made of silicon. The base detaches, for easy filling, and they have a ‘string’ also made of silicon.
Haven’t tried them yet, so I need to make a trip to the City and get some tea blends for a test. I have a feeling that they will float as air looks like it will be trapped at the top.

I hope that you’ll get a lot of use out of them.

I wonder if those little holes are enough to get the air out

I had never heard of these or seen them Ron.
Yes I was thinking they might float too..I hope not.
Well best of luck with them.
Let us know how they do.
Pity you accidentally broke the teapot.

Let us know if they work! I have often seen those metal strainer-type holders on little chains in the shops, that come in various cute shapes, but I've not tried them as I don't drink tea.
In the 'old days' my parents just used the sort of strainer that you rest on top of the cup and pour the tea through - I still have one of those.
