I wonder if I can get a refund to my Elton John concert

I got an email recently about my upcoming Elton John concert at Barclays Center that was postponed from April 2020 to March 2022.
In order to attend the concert, not only will I need to be vaccinated but I will also need to take a covid test prior to the event.
I have a feeling that even if the vaccine mandate for indoor concerts (and other things) made by our mayor will no longer be in effect the venue will still require me to be vaccinated and get a covid test to attend the concert.
If that will be the case, that means the concert is out of the question. I wonder if I can get a refund... I do not want to lose that money. The ticket was not cheap.
Aside from losing the money the worst part is that I won't get to go to the concert, which I've been looking forward to for a long time.

I am not sure who to contact. I got my tickets at Ticketmaster but Ticketmaster no longer sells tickets for Barclays Center events. It is now Seat Geek that does. Maybe I should contact Barclays Center itself?

@lovebuglena Read on the ticket, refund instructions should be on there.

That would be good if it happens.

Given how long away that is, I'd hold off on doing anything too drastic. When it gets closer, research polocies for the venue before trying to cancel and get a refund. As much as you don't want to lose your money, they don't want to have to refund it.

@lovebuglena I understand. However, you can wait until at least January, and just keep an eye on the venue polocies.

But I got my ticket before this pandemic even existed. I would have never gotten a ticket now had I known that this is their policy now.

I am thinking that if I wait too close to the event that I may not be able to get my money back at all.

Yeah. It is really screwed up. Or rather a word I can't use here.

That's such a shame. I would start asking about a refund NOW. Good luck.

There’s a small part of me that hopes that policy won’t exist at that time.

In the beginning when it was announced the concert would be postponed due to covid we were allowed to get a refund. Not sure about now.

I've never done this before. Not even sure how that works.

That would be great. I'd rather see him in concert. But I am not getting vaccinated and tested to be able to do that.
